Driving and commuting

UBeep
For: drivers and riders who want to alert others without a face-to-face conflict
「很多衝突不是惡意,而是沒地方好好說話。」
Translated: A lot of conflicts don't come from malice — there's just nowhere to talk things out properly.

前視界 Next Sight
For: commuters who want to check traffic cameras along the route before leaving
「要是出發前可以直接看看沿路的交通攝影機,不就方便多了?」
Translated: If you could just look at the traffic cameras along your route before setting off, wouldn't that be a lot more convenient?

軌島
For: frequent train riders who want to see where trains are running right now
「軌島也是喔 可以隨時打開看列車在哪裡跑 也可以查時刻 用小工具看捷運何時到站」
Translated: 軌島 does too — you can open it anytime to see where the train is running, check timetables, and use the widget to see when the metro will arrive at the station.

車牌快查
For: people shopping for used cars who want to snap a plate and check the rough price
「推薦自己做的 「車牌快查」 可以用這個app拍車子 就知道車子目前大概的價格喔 (也可以確認車籍資料!」
Translated: Recommending my own 車牌快查: take a photo of a car with the app and you'll get a rough idea of its current price (you can also check its registration details!)

隧行 TunnelPass
For: drivers on National Highway 5's Xueshan Tunnel who want to know which lane moves faster
「台灣優質APP 進雪山隧道,不用再猜走哪一邊比較快了!」
Translated: A quality Taiwanese app — going into the Xueshan Tunnel, no more guessing which side is faster!

台灣鐵道通
For: people riding TRA, high-speed rail and MRT who want to see the next train the moment they open the app
「我開發了一款查台鐵高鐵捷運的APP」
Translated: I developed an app for looking up TRA, high-speed rail and MRT

優雅通勤
For: bus commuters who want live arrival times and transfers
「受夠用Google查通勤路線,乾脆做一個app給自己用。」
Translated: I'd had enough of looking up commute routes on Google, so I just made an app for myself.
What gets listed
- The developer is from Taiwan, and the app is built by one person or a small team.
- Products of companies go in the “Taiwanese teams and companies” section: the team says in its own post that it is a Taiwanese team, or the store or website shows Taiwanese company details (for example a business registration number).
- It is on the App Store or Google Play, or it has a public web version, a TestFlight beta, a Mac/Windows version or a LINE bot, so anyone can try it now.
- The developer introduced the app in their own public Threads post. The line on each card is quoted word for word from that post in Chinese, with an English translation below it. Tap the @handle to read the post.
- Listing is free, and nobody can pay for a better position. Apps are grouped by category, not ranked: the order is shuffled on every visit, and categories with many apps show 3 random apps on this page each time. No star ratings, no ads, and store links are not affiliate links.
How the list is made
Every week an AI agent reads public posts and reply threads on Threads, finds developers introducing their own apps, and checks each app against the developer details on the App Store and Google Play. Apps that are not in a store are checked against the developer's post and website. Apps whose developer location cannot be confirmed go on a pending list and are not shown here.
Prices, platforms, icons and screenshots come from the stores; for apps that are not in a store, the screenshot shows the developer's website. The store page is the final word. Check it for in-app purchases, subscriptions and privacy before you install.
The English descriptions and quote translations were written with AI. The quotes themselves are the developers' own words, in Chinese.
