Apps made by indie developers, by region

Each list collects apps that people built themselves and introduced in their own public posts. 173 apps in 2 regions so far. Each list is written in its region's language and also has an English version.

What gets listed

  • The developer is from that region. Apps by one person or a small team go in the main list; company products get their own section.
  • Anyone can try it now: it is on the App Store or Google Play, or it has a public web version, a public TestFlight link or a desktop version. Apps behind a waitlist or sign-up wall are not listed.
  • The developer introduced the app in their own public post (Threads, or GeekNews for Korea). The one-line quote on each card is copied word for word, in its original language, from that post and links to it. English pages show an AI translation below it.
  • Listing is free. Nobody can pay for a place. Order is random on every visit, not a ranking. No star ratings, no ads, and store links are not affiliate links.

How the lists are made

An AI agent reads public posts on Threads (with their reply threads) and on GeekNews Show, finds developers introducing their own apps, and checks each app against the developer details on the App Store and Google Play. Apps whose developer location cannot be confirmed stay on a pending list and are not shown.

Prices, platforms, icons and screenshots come from the stores. The store page is the final word. Check it for in-app purchases, subscriptions and privacy before you install.

The English pages, including the quote translations, were written with AI. The quotes themselves stay in the developers' own language.
